LPG asked a few questions; 

We were told that there are quite a few shared buildings that have insufficient exposed pipework although they are not able to tell us exactly what proportion of homes will be affected by this problem. 

The discount tariff is calculated using the amount of bedrooms there are in the home. For people who live alone the Discount tariff is £237.00 per year at the moment.

We asked about what could be done if someone thought that they were being overcharged for some reason while on the discount tariff.  We were told that, if, for instance, the consumer had spent a couple of months on holiday during one year, resulting in no one being in a property to use any water,  it is possible to query the amount on your bill by phoning them on 0800 980 8800.  You can also email them or send them a letter (►►►)
