Looking through the winter window with that warm but misted view.
29 Oct 2018
Dear LPG,
As I get older I find that winter makes me feel colder. Sometimes I wonder if I am really cold or if it is the case that my brain interprets what you can see outside into the message that I should feel cold. Either way, the heat goes on and I feel better, but then when I look out of the window, I find myself looking through the beads of condensation that result.
I have been told that condensation can lead to the build-up of mould and damp which can sometimes become a real house-hazard complication. I have never seen evidence of any in my home, but have become quite worried about causing future problems for myself, so I asked the rhetorical question ‘What can I do to stop that happening in my home?’
I learned quite a lot from the internet and thought it would be good to share the answers with my fellow readers. I have pointed LPG to some internet lessons that I hope will help.

KR was kind enough to pass on some relevant information. Which will explain why condensation happens in the home during winter, what we can do to minimise it, how to look for the signs of damp and mould and there is also a little information for anyone planning to have new windows fitted in the near future, which could be beneficial during the winter months.
LPG is not for one minute suggesting that you try any DIY but knowing what can be done might help…
