Dear LPG readers,

Just in case you do not know, we would like to remind our readers that it has been 34 years since LPG produced its first edition, but today is also a very significant day.  It was one year ago today that we officially came on line as a publication.

This was a really big decision for us and we had hoped to continue publishing an annual hard copy (paper version) of the paper; something that has had to be shelved temporarily because of the lack of both funding and ‘people power’ that we have encountered in recent years.

But on this, our second first anniversary, we would like to say we continue to do our very best to bring you stories, details, experiences and facts that we hope entertain and inform.  Our editorial team would like to thank those of our visitors who have continued to contact us with their comments, stories, experiences and other fascinating writings and allowed us to share them with other readers around the World Wide Web. 

Our work continues, as does the gradual increase of our site’s readers and visitors as more pensioners get to grips with their computerised electronic devices, both portable and otherwise.  

It rather feels like an LPG birthday and if we were to ask for a present it would be that readers continue to keep taking a look at our pages, and those who have commented on any of the 365 news posts so far,  continue to take advantage of our contact page (which includes information inviting all to get in touch with us by telephone, letter or even WhatsApp (if email is not your thing). We also look forward to our next year bringing us more readers’ comments to print.

As ever, we only ever print after a contributor has seen exactly what is to be posted online, and anonymity is one of the most important aspects of passing on the information which is shared on our pages.   

 So, as we celebrate our ‘Second First birthday’, we would like to thank all our readers and all those who have taken the time to send us the information that we have had the privilege to post so far and ask that you keep up the good work so that we can do the same.
