Dear LPG

I wonder if, like me there are pensioners out there who have real problems because of all the bits and bobs that they have collected over the years. 

Many of them are the result of gifts that I get at Christmas and on my Birthday each year from my really generous friends and the members of my family who spend so much on trinkets that, at my age I already have an abundance of and I honestly don’t really need more. 

I appreciate them but knowing what to do with them is quite a problem sometimes and there is also the other problem.  What on earth do you buy for some of your friends and family?  There is always money I suppose but, I feel that giving money is a bit of an admission that you really haven’t thought about what that person really needs. So even if I have to resort to a gift voucher or money, I like to put a little something with it… but what?

The other day my nephew’s birthday presented me with such a problem, and while money was the obvious thing, I thought it would be good to add something a bit cheap, cheerful and silly which would make him smile for at least ten minutes after he opened it.  

Now that I claim to be an internet savvy Googler, I decided to ask all the people that offer that company their ideas for inspiration and they came up with some really interesting concepts.  I hope that they are the sort of presents that will make the people that receive them smile and also help the receiver to appreciate the thought and effort that went into the little extra pieces.

And I have to say that I have enjoyed my attempts at producing some of them.  I have to admit the somewhat unique results that I achieve when trying to make some of the things are often the biggest aspect of the smile when I give them away.

I just thought this to be something useful that I could share….
