Dear LPG

I know that I am a very late developer but I would like to share my experiences of getting to grips with texting.

Now that I have worked out exactly what I am doing, I am really learning a great deal about sending texts and messages from my newest mobile phone.  I have become brave and swapped the one that I have been using for the past ten or so years for a brand new but very basic smart phone.

I know that talking is really important, but I find it really special to be able to leave messages.  I think that reading a sentence, rather than having to go through lots of voicemail recordings to get to the one I am looking for, a much quicker way of receiving and understanding what those of my friends (who know how) want to say, even if I am not available to talk to them when they call. 

I particularly love the fact that I can send a little picture which can convey what it would otherwise take me a whole sentence to explain.  I have become a great friend of the emoji, although I find myself explaining what they mean to many of my friends, so I am asking that LPG puts a rough description of what an emoji is and how to use them in the pages of your website.

LPG did a little research and found that emojis were developed in the mid-1990s in Japan, and have gradually become an accepted way to communicate via email, social media, text and many newer communication apps. We have found the following links for those who are interested.
