Fully charged, overcharged… just how charged should we be?

Dear LPG,
I was reading your article about electric blankets (►►►) and came across something I did not know. I am not sure how long the scientific research has been focussing on this one but it is now possible to buy an earthing sheet that, it is argued, will help all those who have adopted the habit of using an electric blanket that they do not actually switch off once they have got in to bed.
I hope not many people actually do it but I know someone who admits to indulging in this risky habit when it is an especially cold winter’s night. Apart from the obvious risks, it appears that it is one of the many ways that the sleeper could be allowing extra electrical charges right of way to flow through their bodies.
I found quite a lot of websites offering the sale of ‘Earthing Sheets’ which, are designed to keep that charge down.
When I learned these facts I thought that it would be really good to pass them onto my LPG reading peers but then I discovered some information which has left me wondering (literally) just how electrifying we really need to be.
I have found some information about earthing sheets and also some of the scientific, and rather conflicting, writings which are online, and which make for interesting reading regardless of if you are an ‘electric blanket on’, an ‘electric blanket off’ kind of person… or even if you have never ever used one on your bed so far.
Perhaps we need to wait for just a little more research before we can be sure about how charged we should be but what I read today gave me a whole new perspective on an electrifying personality.

AH found us some information on Earthing Blankets …
And has also shared some of the scientific data on the subject of the electrical properties of our bodies…
