Are you one of those people who, every now and then, goes to your computer with a plan to google one thing but that ends up looking at quite another.

These days when I am stuck at the doctor surgery waiting for my appointment to come round, instead of picking up a magazine I get my mobile phone out and go to Google.  The advantages are that there will always be something there which will trigger my imagination and make the waiting time go more quickly.  My latest waiting room session did not disappoint.  It is like flicking through the biggest magazine in the world.

Well I got into learning a little about the science behind colour.  It is a part of what we see all the time and we all have one we like best, but according to the internet your favourite is a mirror into your personality. The other thing that I learned is that the colours that are used in the advertisements we see; be they pictures on street advertising posters, or in television and internet videos are all part of the way that those messages are supposed to influence your buying choices.

I am not going to say which is my favourite colour but I found some quizzes which are supposed to help you to work out which colour best reflects your personality and thought that some readers might like to have a go, though I have to say that how accurate they really are is a matter of opinion. There was quite a bit of waiting time on that day and I was able to get through quite a few online quizzes that are supposed to tell you a little more about yourself.   It helped to pass the time…
