Every picture tells a story (chapter 14) – …a little lesson in making room for them…

Dear LPG,
I was walking through my local park on not such a bright day and I saw this scene. I just had to take a picture because it reminded me that cloudy days in London can be stunning too.
I have to blame you LPG for my current predicament because you have been my inspiration or should I say provocation when it comes to picture-taking. It was about February last year that you invited readers to send in their pictures although I did not know how then; in fact, I didn’t even have a smart phone, but the ability they have which allows their users to phone cheaply around the world became the reason that I bought one in the spring of that year.
I have had it long enough to learn how to contact my friends and, as I said, I was then inspired by just how quickly and easily you can take a picture of anything.
Before I knew it I had quite a collection of pictures, and mini videos that I have made, and lots of notifications on the phone which kept coming up with little messages which told me that there was not much space left. When I asked someone who knows more about these things, he pointed out that pictures, and especially videos, take up a lot of space in your smartphone’s memory and suggested that I transfer them to my Laptop which has a lot more space for such things.
He was kind enough to show me how and it was not that easy but after watching a few times it did not seem so difficult. The first time I tried it on my own was a little worrying but they say that ‘practise makes perfect’ and it did not take too long to master.
As I went on my usual morning internet surfing journey through YouTube this morning, I found a video or two which may just help.
I have asked LPG to place a link or two below my message and, though I am sure that you will need someone to explain it to you the first few times you try, I hope that one of the videos below will help to jog your memory and inspire more picture takers to make room for them…
AR, Brockley
AR has found a relatively easy video but there are also two made by people from the other side of the Atlantic which give the same information although the accent may make them appear a little more complicated…
