Start thinking more positively today…
12 Sep 2022
Dear LPG,
By now it will have been about six months since I decided to write this message, but I have just read about the fact that today is Positive Thinking Day (if LPG shares my message on the right day).
It resonated with me because not long before reading this fact I read an Age UK article which informs that 22% of men and 28% of women aged 65 or over suffer with an extent of depression. That is one quarter of us, and this is really not the way forward.
This is the time when we start to slow up a bit, really noticing that the person who looks back at you in the mirror is a lot older than you remember, things get slower and life without somewhere where you worked forced you to be every day, can be a lot more solitary.
But this might be because you are forgetting the positives and not taking full advantage of them…
Just in case you can’t think of any I have found a few lists worth taking note of…
CP, Brockley.
CP has found some positive aspects of retirement for readers to focus on today…
