Dear LPG, 

When young, so many of us leave school with ambitions of relocating and, after a long working life, perhaps the idea of a complete geographical change during retirement might well cross our minds again, but finances permitting, where would you go?

I am not sure why but I got thinking about this the other day, even though I have been retired for quite a few years now, although I think perhaps my thoughts are more like dreams really.  Those television programmes where the experts find new home options for people do get you speculating sometimes and the places we have visited on holidays over the years can get you thinking too.

There are also those who move back to their routes, to be nearer year round sunny weather or to be nearer family members, but things change and a couple of weeks spent in your ideal place to be doesn’t help anyone to be sure of what a move to that perfect two-week holiday location would be like in the long term.

As ever the internet always has something to say about it and just in case there are any readers who feel that another dreaming (or even speculating) session might be a way forward I have found a bit of internet inspiration.
