Dear LPG, 

Everyone has those moments in their life where they take a good look at what it is all about and perhaps that is one of the most difficult questions to answer.   The only thing that we can be sure of is that, if we were to all have a really good think about it, nearly every person’s answer will be slightly different.

Not only that, but those very personal answers are also likely to change as each of us travel through the different stages of our existence.  

The poem I offer today is the result of such a freeze-frame moment in my life…

LIFE’S AWESOME JOURNEY

Mankind is on a journey; it may be long or short,
Life is what we make it, so please do not lose heart.
What about tomorrow?
No-one knows for sure.
One thing is for certain.
We’ve not been this way before.

Mankind is moving onwards, no-one is standing still,
Most of us are active, performing our favourite skill.
Some are on a treadmill, busy all the time.
On a daily basis…. which is not a crime.
On life’s awesome journey we may trip and fall,
But we can help each other, so don’t forget to call.

And so let us listen and give a helping hand,
Let’s support each other as we journey through this land.
In sorrow, joy, or pleasure; in health, sickness, or death.
We are learning from each other, until our final breath.
And as we step over into the other sphere,
We would have made a difference just by being here.
