Dear LPG, 

I just have a short message for readers today.

I know that we do have a little time to go yet, and I also know so many older people who just give up and put some money in an envelope, but if you are one of those people who prefer to give Christmas presents there is always someone who you cannot find anything appropriate for.  

With not that many days to go I found some interesting ideas online.  I would like to point out that nearly every idea which is online is there because the person who put it there is trying to sell you something, and I am not suggesting that we all spend money on their products. It is also true that a lot of the ideas have $ signs next to them which implies that the web sites I have chosen are American, but with only a few days to go there are some interesting and original ideas out there, and sometimes it is just the idea that you need to spur you on. 

I am hoping that LPG can post this message early enough so that if there are any other readers with some ideas I have missed they can help us all out by getting them posted with a bit of time to spare…
