A free marketplace!

04 Oct 2017

There are not many market places where you can get things for free, but this one is bound to interest some of our readers. On Saturday 7th October between 10.00am – 1.00pm you are invited to visit a Health Awareness Marketplace day at Glass Mill Leisure Centre where lots of very valuable but free knowledge and education will be on offer to anyone who wants, and needs, to understand many aspects of their health.  LPG readers are likely to benefit greatly because, as we people approach pensionable age, we often have a habit of being at a stage where encountering new health issues is a symptom of life,  although everyone is invited to this event, whatever your age.

Other self-management courses will also be on offer in the near future, where attendees will be able to talk to people who are living with ongoing health issues and learn new strategies for managing them, how to cope with stress and what other support opportunities are available in our area.

All this is being offered by an organisation called Self-management (►►►), in conjunction with the Lewisham Health commissioning group, and one of their primary aims is to make sure that people who are forced to live with ongoing illness can best minimise the adverse impact that their health conditions have on their lives.

So we hope you can see that anyone with any kind of ongoing health issue will benefit hugely by making the time to be there on October 7th at the Glass Mill Leisure Centre, 41 Loampit Vale, London, SE13 7FT
