Every picture tells a story (chapter 1)

10 Feb 2019

Dear Readers,

Have you ever found yourself faced with an unforgettable sight that is so breathtakingly beautiful, undoubtedly funny or that provokes a moment that you wish you could keep in your memory forever?

LPG would like to start a new trend as they ask the question, there are many older people who now have mobile phones which they should carry around with them as they walk down the streets of their neighbourhoods, be they in Lewisham borough or beyond, and this means that they have an instant camera with them wherever they go.

It is now widely accepted that, when it comes to making visual memories, we have lived through a revolution.  I know that most LPG readers remember when a camera was something that you took on holiday or used at a wedding and seeing the pictures was only possible after we had taken them to the chemist to be developed.

Now we can take a picture and see it seconds after, and it is not that difficult to master the technique.  So, LPG invites readers to show us your personal view of our world, although we ask that you get the permission of any people that can be recognised and are included in your pictures before sending them in.

LPG would like to take the time to invite readers to send us their pictures of interest with a little information about where they were taken and the reason they are so significant to them.
