Face improvement perhaps?

05 Mar 2020

Dear LPG,

I think that I am a typical 74-year-old if there is such a thing.  I escaped the 9-to-5 daily ethic some fifteen years ago, live in my own home, spend lots of time with the grandchildren and life has never seemed as busy or as fun-filled as it is at the moment for me.  I have spent quite a bit of my (relatively) newly-found free time learning how the internet works and strongly believe that perseverance is the most important aspect of that learning curve, but I have to say that I never cease to wonder at what can be found there.

I think that I am also typical because I have reached that part of my life where the wrinkles, which I began to see a long time ago are getting a little more difficult to disguise.

While I am not trying to look younger, I do think it is important to present the very best visual version of what God has given me to the outside world.   I think that wrinkle damage limitation whether it comes out of a bottle or involves a degree of physical exertion on my part, can only improve my state of well-being into the bargain.

Exercise is somehow harder work these days in spite of my twice-weekly visits to the local exercise sessions, and the vibrating platform, pedal exerciser, resistance bands, and exercise chair that I have invested in over the past ten years; and which are not being used nearly enough to justify the money I have spent on them.  It has to be noted that these are all designed to keep my body working but I have now started to look to what I can do for my face.  I have tried facial exercise but even though I think it should be so much easier to keep to because the effort involved is not so waring, it is not working for me really.

I recently made a discovery on the internet which is not too expensive and claims to make a difference to the tone of your facial muscles after being used for just a couple of minutes a day.  I am just getting started but thought that other typical 70-somethings with a similar wish to work on face muscles might like to give it a try (in the privacy of their own homes).

The only other comment I have is that all the pictures and videos I found feature relatively young ladies introducing us to what is described as an ancient Japanese innovation and I have problems seeing their wrinkles but I suppose they are minimising their little crinkles before they actually make their visual debut.

If you do have a go, I would love to compare notes and know how you are getting on…
