Breathing your way to reduced back pain and weight?

19 Aug 2020

Dear LPG,

I am getting older and I know that for many of us getting older is synonymous with getting a little fatter.  I gave up working about 12 years ago and promised myself that this was not going to happen to me.  I have never been a member of the perfect hourglass silhouette club even when I was young, but when I checked the BMI scale I have always found that my height and weight put me in the overweight section of the graphs that the internet offer rather than the obese area, for which I am truly grateful.  Over the years I have sincerely tried to reduce my food intake, but doughnuts call to me as I pass the bakers and one of the things I most appreciate about retirement is that not having to get up for work affords me plenty of time in the morning to create the most satisfying breakfast fry-ups, although they are a luxury I do my very best to only afford myself once a week.

So every morning, in the privacy of my own home, I do a little jumping around in the company of an exercise guru whose DVD I bought some years ago, and things could have ‘gone-south’ a lot more radically than they have so far in the light of my love of eating far more than is good for me.

All that being said I am always looking for any ideas for improvement as I take my regular strolls through the world wide web, and I wonder if anyone has discovered the clip that I am about to ask LPG to share with you today.

I suppose that, depending on your physical abilities, as exercise goes this could be thought of as relatively easy on the heart muscle and if it really works I am up for it.  It was the promise of results that can be seen after just one week, with the fact that just two minutes effort a day will make the difference that caught my eye, and they also say that it sometimes improves back pain into the bargain.

I am off to see if it really works…

EB, Catford.
