How to dream perfectly…

19 Oct 2022

Dear LPG,

We all dream but we don’t always remember them.  Some have recurring dreams which is not a bad thing if they are good but I also know that quite a few of us have recurring nightmares and there are many that vary in severity.

I give up when trying to interpret them but apparently, you can design and have the exact dream you want to have every night, with a bit of practise.  As we get older there are often many reasons why we really don’t get as much sleep as we used to when we were young, but imagine looking forward to what your brain has to offer while you are asleep!

When talking about the dreams you do remember, they are often abstract.  All the dream interpretation books I have seen so far give explanations about pretty non-specific things that might happen during dreams like when you are flying, falling or being chased

Can you imagine going to your bed and starting a dream where you are the you that you want to be.  Imagine starting your dream in surroundings you chose and being able to do anything that you want to.  You could be eating all the stodgy cake you like without feeling ill at the end or getting fat, you could be rich and live in the perfect house with all those perfect friends coming round for the perfect party every night, you could be that doctor, pop singer or actor that is as famous as the one you have always aspired to be like, or even be a young and beautiful princess with your own nightly Knight to rescue you on a regular base no matter what situation you get yourself into; or gentlemen, you could be that knight.  You could even be the politician that achieves the impossible as you influence all the other superpowers’ leaders to stop fighting, unite and make sure that everyone is looked after.  OK, I think that that is the one I would go for, and can you imagine a time when the result of your nightly pursuits would only be limited by your mind's eye.

I have found a little online information which might just be the lesson you need to learn in order to achieve this very goal.  We are all told how important it is to keep your mind busy as you get older and this might just be the perfect learning experience if you keep at it.

Life is seldom ideal during the day but imagine being able to put all that right every night as you achieve your goals and become the person you have always wanted to be with the help of a vivid imagination and the perfect dream.
