Share Your Passion For Reading

11 Sep 2017

Reading doesn't have to be lonely. If you love reading and discussing books, why don't you join a reading group? Just think about it. Reading groups offer spaces where you can discuss the books you read and express your opinion about the books that other members have read. Moreover, if you're an avid reader, you have probably experienced the pleasure of discovering new readings that you enjoy, and you can surely get many reading suggestions from other members of a reading group.

On the other hand, attending reading groups meetings can help you meet new people who have a passion for books. If you are retired, you probably have now more time to keep up with your hobbies, but you can't forget that socialising is a basic need, so combining your love for reading with social interaction might be a good idea.  Reading groups are open to anyone aged 16 or over. On this website you can find a list of reading groups in Lewisham: http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/libraries/reading/Pages/Reading-groups.aspx

If you want to join one, just get in touch with them or go to one of the meetings. They'll be happy to have a new member in the group!
