Dear LPG,

I don’t think I can be the only person who has concluded that everything we do seems to take longer.  I used to think this was because I got slower as I got older, but the younger people around me seemed to agree.  How often do you hear those words, ‘I haven’t got the time,’ being used to answer some small thing you request?    

I have observed that the necessity to communicate often suffers.  We say the things that we feel are important.  We will finalise the time of an appointment or meeting and verbalise to correct a mistake that we believe someone close to us might be making, but when it comes to remembering to remind someone of how important they are to us, we assume that they will take that as read.   

Being in too much of a hurry to reinforce our love for the people around us can quickly become a  habit we nearly all  become guilty of .  It is the tip of an iceberg that I hope my poem today might bring to the fore… 

LOVE IS THE KEY

LOVE IS THE WAY

The word that I wish to spread around the world is LOVE.

LOVE is a magnet; it is everything that’s good.

Goodness, forgiveness, faithfulness and truth.

Healing, restoration, freedom and peace be yours.

Hope for the future; no fear, no abuse, just LOVE.

No segregation; no ill‑treatment of the poor…. O no!

LOVE is a pillar, a safe and solid ground.

LOVE is the word – TRUE LOVE; no lies, no fakes.

LOVE is an anchor, a lifeline for lost souls.

LOVE is a mighty weapon of war!

LOVE is the way we show how much we care!

LOVE will preserve the human race….

LOVE IS THE WORD, LOVE is the way….

If you have LOVE, then you’ve found the Key…
