Dear LPG,

I recently discovered your website, which is a fascinating and valuable gem. After reading the LPG post of the day for a few days, I took the time to page my way backwards, which is when I realised how much advice is included in your pages.  

 

It is often highlighted that so much information is written based on everyday people's experiences. These are among its most redeeming messages, and I hope that readers continue to offer their ways of overcoming those often challenging situations we occasionally encounter. 

 

I recently found myself on the phone trying to reach a government department and listening to the usual recorded information and instructions. I was not even there for that long, but it is as if I am preparing for the frustrations of waiting and everything else that one experiences before I dial the number these days, and I suspect that I am not alone. Having read about it recently, I tried a tactic I learned from one of your past posts, and it did help.  

 

With that in mind, I would ask that LPG publish that post again, even though it was written over five years ago. Based on the difference it made during my recent experience, I can say that it does work for some…
